Privacy Policy
What First Person Boxing collects when you play: no account, game progress kept in your browser, analytics, ads and messages, plus your choices and rights.
Last updated: October 20, 2026
This policy explains what information First Person Boxing (firstpersonboxing.net) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean First Person Boxing, the operator of firstpersonboxing.net. If anything here is unclear, email support@firstpersonboxing.net.
What we collect
- No account. You can play without signing up, so we don't ask for your name, email address or password to play.
- Game progress and settings. Your Career progress, difficulty, sound and control settings are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. They are not sent to us.
- Messages. What you send through the contact form or by email, including your name and email address.
- Usage and device data. Pages you visit, when you start or finish a game and its result (opponent, difficulty, win or loss), approximate location from your IP address, browser and device type, and how you found the site. Some of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies, explained in our Cookie Policy.
- Advertising data. Our advertising partner may use cookies and device identifiers to show ads and measure them, as described below.
- Security logs. IP address, time of request and error details, used to keep the site running and to stop abuse.
How we use it
- To run the game and the site.
- To answer your messages and handle reports.
- To understand which pages and game modes people use, and to fix problems.
- To show ads that keep the game free.
- To prevent fraud, spam and misuse, and to meet legal obligations.
We don't sell your personal information.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on these legal bases: our legitimate interests (running and securing the site, fixing problems, answering messages), and your consent (analytics and advertising cookies where consent is required).
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the site, and only what they need:
- Hosting and security provider (Cloudflare), which serves the site, checks the contact form for spam and blocks attacks.
- Email provider, which delivers support emails.
- Analytics providers (Google Analytics, plus Plausible and Ahrefs Web Analytics, which use no cookies), which help us measure visits and game starts.
- Advertising partner (Google AdSense), which shows ads on the site. Google may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalized ads at Google's Ads Settings, and visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent first.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people from harm, or as part of a sale or merger of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply.
How long we keep it
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Game progress and settings | On your device until you clear your browser data |
| Contact messages | Up to 2 years after the conversation ends |
| Analytics data | Up to 14 months |
| Security logs | Up to 90 days |
Your choices and rights
- Reset your progress by clearing this site's data in your browser.
- Cookies. You can change your cookie choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
- Access, correct or delete the messages you sent us by emailing us.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or limit how we use your information, and to complain to your local data protection authority. California residents can ask what personal information we collected and ask us to delete it, and can opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising through the Cookie settings link. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. We answer requests within 30 days.
Where your information is processed
We and our providers process information in the United States and other countries. When we transfer personal information out of the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we rely on the safeguards the law provides, such as standard contractual clauses.
Children
First Person Boxing is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and note the change on the site before it takes effect.
